We investigate coarse-grained quartz from the Nobi fault gouge to reconstruct both coseismic thermal conditions and faulting age from partially reset luminescence signals. Apparent-age KDE distributions are combined with multi-signal kinetic inversion to jointly estimate event temperature and age without requiring complete signal resetting. The results support a model of spatially localized high-temperature frictional heating on the fault surface, suggesting that heterogeneous luminescence populations can preserve information on both rupture energetics and earthquake chronology.
