Under the motto “Just do it!”, IdeenExpo invites visitors to Hanover from 20 to 28 June 2026 – and the LIAG Institute for Applied Geophysics will once again be represented with its own stand. With interactive exhibits, researchers make the geosciences and applied geophysics tangible and engaging for visitors of all ages.

The 16th Ground-Penetrating Radar Round Table will be hosted by the LIAG Institute for Applied Geophysics (LIAG) and the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR) at their shared site at the Geozentrum Hannover. The event is aimed at scientists, engineers and ground-penetrating radar users. Its objective is to discuss new scientific findings, interesting applications and open questions in the field of ground-penetrating radar. Ground-penetrating radar enables rapid, non-destructive and high-resolution investigation of the near surface subsurface. The method is particularly suitable for imaging structures, layer boundaries and cavities without disturbing the ground.

The Geothermal Congress (DGK) 2026 in Potsdam is the central industry gathering for everyone engaged with geothermal energy from a scientific, economic or political perspective. LIAG is a partner of the DGK and will present its research.
